In 1951 Leo Fender introduced a prototype solid-body guitar that would eventually be called the Fender Telecaster guitar. The Fender Tele, as it was often called then and still is today, was the first solid-body Spanish-style electric guitar to be commercially mass-produced. As a result of this humble beginning, Fender guitars are one of the most popular brands in the world today.
The Fender Stratocaster first appeared in 1954, and incorporated many design innovations based on feedback from professional musicians, Fender staff and Leo Fender himself. The Strat's third single-coil pickup offered more tonal possibilities than the two on the Tele, and its sleekly contoured body made it more comfortable. The double cutaway design of the Stratocaster made access to upper registers much easier.
Nobody could have foreseen then how the Fender Stratocaster would go on to revolutionize popular music. Essentially unchanged since its 1954 debut, the Strat is the most popular and influential Fender electric guitar ever, and players at all levels and in all genres continue to rely on its sound, playability and versatility to this day.

The Ibanez Jam Pack is a great way to start playing the guitar, then you can entertain friends, relatives, and who knows, you may be the star of your own band someday! But it won't happen unless you do it - today!

Yamaha Silent Guitars - Silent Guitar

Classic or Latin style guitarists will prefer the nylon string version, the SLG100N. This instrument is designed with a slightly wider neck to accommodate the difference in playing style, and like the steel string SLG100S can be used to perform with or for practice.
Both Yamaha Silent Guitars feature modern designs with mahogany necks and rosewood fingerboards on lightweight maple bodies. Proprietary Yamaha electronics are matched with advanced pickup systems that have been chosen to deliver the utmost in realistic tone from each of these instruments. While headphones allow for private practice, both instruments can be plugged into an amplifier or a sound system for live performance. A built-in DSP effects processor lets you add the warmth of reverb to the guitar’s sound without having to plug into any outboard processing gear or effects.
The solid body design of the Silent Guitar lets you turn up the volume without the worry of annoying feedback when performing live. And when it’s time to move on, the composite body quickly breaks down and fits into a compact case for easy transport.

The Peavey Bandit 112 and Envoy 110, the largest and loudest models in the series, feature speaker-simulated direct outputs that can send signal to a live or studio mixing console, eliminating the need for miking. TransTube amplifiers feature Peavey Blue Marvel® loudspeakers, switchable Clean and Lead channels and optimized equalization.
With increased dynamic response, enhanced tube emulation technology and the return of the famed “silver stripe” cabinet design, Peavey proudly introduces its completely redesigned TransTube Series of guitar amplifiers.
Peavey's exclusive, patented TransTube technology emulates the sound of tube amplifiers with the convenience and reliability of solid-state design. The TransTube preamp tailors the gain level for the desired amount of drive, and the power amp responds to the preamp with natural compression that increases with the amp's volume. Yamaha CPX Acoustic-Electric Guitars
AUSTIN, Texas — The new Yamaha CPX electric acoustic guitars up the ante for performance electric acoustics by offering a complete aesthetic upgrade and adding a revolutionary new Acoustic Resonance Transducer (A.R.T.) pickup system, which captures the guitar’s true natural acoustic tone while virtually eliminating feedback. Similar to the new APX line, only with deeper bodies, the CPX700 and the CPX900 also feature a new preamp with a built-in tuner and frequency adjustable controls.
"The new CPX line provides an astonishingly true-sounding acoustic tone," said Bryan Savage, marketing manager, Yamaha Guitars. "The A.R.T. system represents a major innovation for accurately reproducing the true resonance of an acoustic guitar."
Guitarists have long been troubled by electric acoustic amplification, which tends to suffer from excessive feedback and poor sound quality. To develop the A.R.T. system, designed primarily for live performance, Yamaha studied all of the methods for amplifying acoustic sounds and devised a better way."
We brought in numerous artists, producers, and sound gurus with a mission of capturing that true acoustic sound," said Savage. "The results are stunning."
Many traditional piezoelectric acoustics produce a poor ribbon transducer sound that does not necessarily replicate a true acoustic sound. The new pickup system features multiple proprietary contact microphones mounted on the underside of the sound board, which capture the guitar’s true acoustic resonance."
The completely overhauled CPX line is great for guitarists who are looking for an acoustic that is comfortable to play and, more importantly, sounds like an acoustic guitar," said Savage. "
The CPX has a long history as a launch vehicle for advanced technology and now, we are able to continue that tradition at price points that represent a real value."The CPX700, CPX-12 and the CPX900 performance electric acoustic guitars ship in July 2006.
